Our faces, when we realised Team BRIO is now in one of the qualifying spots to head to the West Regional in Del Mar, California in May!!!!!!! The qualification process changed substantially this season for the Canada West region, but our competitors pulled together, built each other up, and encouraged each other through a wonderful 5 weeks of Open performances. We could not possibly be any more excited for our community to be represented on the big stage next month!!
What happens now? We'll get an official invite to compete at Regionals on April 23 and we have until May 1 to set a roster of 3 men and 3 women (although only 2 of each will actually be competing.)
How is the Team selected? Our unique process is that the active members of our competitive program are the ones who decide (via a survey/vote) who they think has earned the honor of representing BRIO at the next stage of competition. Selections are based on fitness (of course) but also work ethic, integrity, and commitment to the program and each other throughout the whole year.
Although only 4 among us move on, the rest of us will continue to train hard to be the Fittest Fans! We better work those lungs so that we can CHEER SO HARD for #teambrio!!
